Hello! My name is Stephanie Myers (she/her/hers), and I am an Academic Advisor in the Yellow Cluster Advising Office. I grew up in Vallejo, CA, and started my undergraduate studies at Napa Valley College before transferring to UC Davis, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

 

As a former non-traditional student, I understand the unique challenges of balancing academics, work, and personal responsibilities. My experience navigating higher education while managing multiple commitments was both challenging and rewarding, and it has greatly influenced my approach to academic advising.

 

As an advisor, I strive to be authentic in my interactions with students, providing genuine empathy, practical advice, and personalized support tailored to each individual's needs. My goal is to foster an environment where students feel both confident and supported as they navigate their educational journey. I am dedicated to helping students recognize and build upon their unique strengths, overcome any obstacles they may face, and ultimately graduate from UC Davis. I believe that by creating a supportive and collaborative space, students can feel empowered to take ownership of their education and make informed decisions that align with their goals.

 

Fun facts: I am a Ravenclaw. I love pizza (san pineapple), coffee shops, swimming, driving to the coast, and Studio Ghibli movies.
